I have an ileostomy.  I had chron's/colitis of the large intestine only, no small intestine involvement.  Today I  noticed two small ulcers on the actual stoma that are more whitish in color.  My concern is that the disease has started now in the small bowel.  I have been super stressed lately, my diet has changed and I'm taking different meds for a separate issue.  Also, I wore tight jeans today so maybe it rubbed?  Please tell me your experiences and should I be worried?  I'm concerned indeed.

Diagnosed Crohn's/Colitis 2003.
Subtotal Colectomy w/ Ileostomy May 16, 2007.

Without actually being able to see what the ulcers look like, we can't really say what it is with any certainty. My advise would be to make an appt with your stoma nurse so he/she can have a look at it for you.

Good luck.
I have had an ileostomy for 32 years now due to UC.
