Without going into the other areas of the results, the 'comments' area pretty much says it all.

This is a severely abnormal study that shows normal sphincter profiles, severely impaired rectal sensation and very abnormal balloon expulsion. These changes are suggstive of both rectal sensory denervation and pelvic floor dysfunction and predispose the patient to constipation. There is no manometric evidence of Hirschprung's disease. Clinical correlation, transit time studies, and defecography are suggested.

So is sounds like another SITZ marker and a defogram are in my future. And to top things off, I have another hernia (#3). We're thinking that it's another inguinal hernia, but I'm starting to have symptoms similar to when I had the femoral hernia.

Still no Amey huh? That's very worrisome. Does anybody have her email address?

Terri:

Sorry to hear about your recent troubles. Sometimes it seems like there is no end to this stuff (I really mean the other s word).

I always wonder about Amey too. I hope she is out really enjoying her life and is just too busy to post.

I hope your tests go well and you feel better soon.

Richard

Terri,

I have emailed her and Cecilia found her phone number and left a message on her cell phone. Nothing from her yet. I hope she is off basking in the sun on a beautiful secluded beach with her family!!!! And doesn't have time for us.!!! lol We are worried as well.

Thanks for the reply. At least I'm getting some answers. It's starting to sound like the denervation probably happened during the first colon resection that I had done; surgeon went a bit too low apparently.

Oh good, I'm glad that Cecilia had her cell number and was able to leave her a message. As you said, hopefully she's just enjoying some time in real life and we're all just a bunch of worryworts.
