I got halfway through my lates delivery of bags on thursday and suddenly the flanges on all the bags refused to stick! (I use a one-piece drainable coloplast) It got to Friday afternoon and I'd got through 5 bags in 24hrs, and the last one seemed to have stuck (finally) so I went for my driving lesson and the darned thing leaked on me again!! :( So i had to get my driving instructor to take me to A&E (the ER for you american people :P ) where they gave me one that stuck properly.. I had a fresh supply delieverd express the next day (today) cause the hospital one was a huge see-through thing that was really uncomfortable; and the first bag that I put on today leaked with in 2 hours. Seriously getting me down!! Especially as I haven't got a clean stoma belt (bleaching them at the moment) and I'm meant to be going out on a date tonight! :( :( At the moment I think I'm going to have to wear a really baggy t-shirt to hide it, as the belt might not be clean in time :/

Lol, sorry for the ranting! I'm going to go eat some chicken curry to cheer me up :)

Mary,
I'm sorry you're having such troubles. sad

My stoma nurse taught me to hold my hands over a fresh wafer for a few minutes after applying it, so the heat from my hands and the heat from my body make a tight seal. It has always helped me, and I hope it helps you, too. Have a great time on your date tonight! :-)
