Welcome to Healing Well. I'm sorry you've had such trouble.
I would be concerned if I lost that much weight. What does your doctor think about
it? Is the Crohn's active in your rectum? That's where I had it, and I have to tell you that I've felt great ever since I had my rectum removed. It's a very difficult decision to make, but once I made it, I've been disease-free and healthy ever since. I've also gained weight in a healthy way and have been able to keep it on.
If it meant you could be disease-free, would you be willing to have your rectum removed and have a permanent ileostomy? If that's where your disease is, it's something to think about
and discuss with your doctor.
Dx'd Crohn's in '99 at 28. Proctocolectomy and ileostomy in '06.
Small Bowel Obstruction Surgery in '08, caused by adhesions.
Disease-free, medicine-free, and very thankful to be healthy again :)
