I had j-pouch surgery 3 weeks ago. I have an ostomy and waiting for the re -connect. In the last 2 days I have had urgency and have been passing clear watery fluid. Almost every hour I have to go. I know you will always pass something after surgery like this. But why all of a sudden , i have to go so much? Any thoughts? This is like having colitis again. No blood or cramps , just a discomfort. thanks for your help. Westy

The passing of mucous or stool is normal but your frequency seems high. It could be that you have a bit of inflammation that is easily treatable. If it doesn't calm down I would suggest a visit to your surgeon.
