Area around stoma

So last i saw my nurse, she checked out the area around my stoma. Determined i was wearing the wrong appliance. She was right there, changed what i was using and it helped. But the area on one side of the stoma is still dark red and kinda tough. It doesn't really hurt though. But it hasn't really changed much, maybe gotten a little darker red.  Don't really want to go see her again since it really isn't bothering me, but i'm not sure what it is.  All the other area around the stoma is fine. Skin is fine, soft. But this one area is really kinda tough, hard under the skin.
   I'll probably call her.  Just don't have the time to go see her right now.
  Man, if it's not the hole in my butt it's the stoma.  Somethings gotta go!!

have u tried the eakin seals or do they interfere with your wafer? when i had minor skin problems (not any that bothered me) when i used the eakin seal over it, it cleared up pretty quickly. wish i could offer more help...
