Oh my goodness, I am so sorry you're in so much pain. sad Can they give you some medicine by mouth to help you out? I really hope you get some relief soon.

I am definitely praying for you. What's your first name? I know God knows who you are, but it helps me when I pray. You can email it to me, if you're not comfortable sharing it here.

Please keep us posted on how you're doing. You will heal, and the pain will go away. It's just really bad the first couple of days, especially if the pump isn't working for you.

Take care,

I will definately pray for you.  I am also sorry that you are having so many problems with the recovery.  Just like Summerstorm said, this pain is temporary and it will go away.  Just take it easy and allow your body to heal on its own time, don't try to rush anything.  You will feel health and better soon enough.

Right after my surgery it was a scary time for me,too. Try to remember that this to will pass and it will get easier as time goes by. Realize that you had a big surgery. It will take time to heal.

I hope you can feel our prayers for you.

I have been thinking about you and wondering how you are doing!! Oh my goodness, I can relate to the pain. You are NOT alone... My surgery was a week ago and I am still having really bad pains. And I am so sorry to hear about your lungs... Wow. Did they give you a thing to breathe in? That is supposed to open your lungs. My family and I will DEFINITELY be praying for you. There is nothing worse than being in pain and in the hospital.... I will send the word out to pray, because I know that it works. Did everything else go as planned? Please keep us posted. God bless.

I was put on the clear liquid diet and vomitted. Apparently, my small intestine is still not awake.

Still waiting and the surgeons can not provide any guidance about when it might wake.

I'm sorry you're still in the hospital. My intestines didn't wake up for 10 days after my ileostomy surgery. I was vomiting, too, and had to be on an NG tube.

Make sure they don't slow down your IV fluids when your ileo starts working. They did that to me, and I ended up severely dehydrated and had to go to ICU for a couple of days.

Good luck. I hope you start getting some output soon!
