Aloha to everyone.  Yep, Scott and I just got back from Hawaii - 12 hr + plane ride each way and 8 days on Oahu/Waikiki Beach.  Talk about a little slice of heaven in an otherwise very crazy and stressful time in our lives.  Some of you all know about this.  For those of you that don't - my husband was just recently diagnosed with a fatal illness, prognosis 2-5 years, but this is the median time range.  We are hopeful for longer.

Anyway, I have been absent for so long, I just wanted to pop in to say hello and wish everyone well.  I don't have time to keep up with all the goings-on anymore.

This weekend is the Brickyard NASCAR race in Indianapolis and we will have a lot of company visiting from OH and souther Indiana.  It's gonna be a busy but very fun weekend.  For those that care, we have tix to the Craftsman Truck Race (Friday night) and the Sprint Cup race (Sunday afternoon) too.  The truck race is really exciting for a short track race at ORP.

Our new house is coming right along...  vinyl floors went in today, hardwood floors on Tuesday, trim and doors being delivered next week, carpet is ready to be installed but we're not ready for it.  Hope to lay tile floors the week of August 6th.  If cabinet maker would get his part done soon, we may be in by the end of August (crossed fingers here)!

Sorry for rambling... so good to drop by.

Hey Peggy!

I was just thinking about you and Amy and how much I miss both of you! I'm so very glad to hear you've been having such a great time. You really deserve it.

My news is that I am scheduled for takedown on 8/8/08. So I've got less than two weeks to say goodbye to my friend, the bag. I actually know there are several things I will miss about the little guy, but I am excited to give the jpouch a try.

How have you been feeling? Continue to keep us posted, okay?

Thanks all for  the nice responses.  It's good to check in when I can.  I think of you all often and wonder what you all have been up to as well.
The race weekend was a success as far as visiting with our family and friends; but the race on Sunday was awful with all of the caution flags.  Scott did well all weekend, but we are all like wet noodles laying around today.
Hope all is having a good summer.
