Have you cut down or eliminated any meds post tc surgery OR introduced anything new to your diet or stopped eating/drinking anything you used to? Is it related to your eyes, reading or watching TV?

I used to get really bad headaches at the base of my neck before I had rotator cuff surgery on my shoulder. I've only had one since November. So I believe mine was related to it.

Years ago, I started having headaches and figured out (took about 11 months) that it was the dose of Premarin I was taking at the time. Quit it cold turkey just to see and the headaches disappeared.

Weird things can cause headaches, and sometimes it is trial and error to figure out what is causing them. Process of elimination works for me.

Hope you can get them figured out soon.

i used to get really bad headaches almost every day before my surgery, also right above the eyes. nothing would help them, not tylenol, not vicodin, not even sleep. i also had really bad neck pain most of the time so i think that had something to do with it. not sure if it was stress related or not, but since my surgery 3 weeks ago i havent had any trouble. i think there are a lot of different factors that can cause headaches. sometimes a hot bath would help, it relieved my neck pain and the headache went away when the neck pain did. and sex helps too ;)
good luck!

thanks guys xxx
probably is stress related, i wish the sex part would help, but i am always sore and bloated a lot of the time, which means i can't really do what i want, lol but id know from experience a headache does not get in the way of your love life, it helps for a wee while, lol

Are you drinking plenty of fluids? Because mild dehydration can cause headaches. Since the main function of the large intestine is to absorb fluid, we need to drink more after we we've had all of part of them removed. Also, since you're keeping a food diary, do you also write down when you get these headaches so you can possibly track down if it's a food intolerance causing it?

I hope you find out what's causing them and get relief soon!

Cecilia

I keep forgetting to always write down the headaches. the other day was partly dehydration i think, i was extra thirsty, however I did drink lots to make up for it, i thnk maybe getting dehydrated during the night, i wake up and my nose is all stuffy. i dont have the heating on, as it is not cold, and plenty of ventilation. But I did know about the dehydration part, i normally make  point in drinking more. I do notice when i come off the contraceptive pill, for my week free, headaches get worse, but period was more than a week ago, back on the pill, so i dont know it is so confusing, not debilitating just so aggravating.
