Lately I've been feeling outnumbered! There's a lot of posts about pregnancy and "lady parts", and no posts about testicles and powertools, lol! What gives???

Although these problems run in men, I think they are more predominant in women. My husband noticed when reading the posts with me that everyone that had the surgery that posted was a woman. We also found it very interesting.

Man, i've tried. Football season does officially start tomorrow, so i think we need to start a thread on how the Patriots will go undefeated again this year. Or how people in the Tampa area suddenly figured out they have a baseball team. Or how i won't miss the Yankees in the postseason this year. Yeah, even though i'll probably never get tired of hearing about vagina, even talking about the extra hole in my @ss can get old. Although i guess it's better than talking about my units.

I'll be happy in a month when hockey season starts!

Do we need to start an Ostomy Fantasy Football league? But wait, I'm a girl - does that mean I can't play? I won't miss the yankees either, Slice. And I'm so used to my teams biting the BIG one, I'm resigned to another year of fending off smart remarks. But hey, good news for me is, The Niners home opener is Sunday, and I can't wait to be there. Maybe they'll shock me and win.

women are more likely than men to ask for help/advice. i think statistically men and women have equal chances of getting IBD or anything else that would lead to an ostomy, but women are more likely to talk about it.

We can talk sports, it would be a nice change of pace.  I am a HUGE college football fan, but I don't watch the NFL.  It's not as exciting for me.  The only other sport I watch is NASCAR.

I'm so excited it's football season!!  I'm just sad that I moved two years ago from the SEC area to the WAC area.  I was like, WAC?  What the heck is WAC?  No one good plays there!!!

Power tools? I got your power tools right here. I use a Ryobi table saw which is heavy but lightweight at the same time. I guess you'd call it a girly table saw but it's perfect for me in my garden furniture making endeavors.

I also have a drill press, hand drills coming out the wazoo (oops was mentioning the wazoo getting back on topic?), scroll saw, reciprocating saw, circular saw, various and sundry jigsaws and sanders.

wheww..all this manly talk has got me tired. I guess I'll go have a brewski.

Jo? An Auburn fan in our midst? That's great! Actually I moved from Alabama two years ago to the pacific north west. While I lived in Alabama (15 yrs) it was great to watch football. Never in my life have I ever seen people go so crazy over football than Auburn vs. Alabama. The south literally shuts down!

I love watching the SEC games, however, I must admit to being an FSU fan. I know they've not had a good team for several years now, but I'm a die hard fan and will stick with them through thick and thin.

What did you think of Vandy beating So. Carolina last night? I hate Steve Spurrier!!

Amanda - I am DYING to get to an Auburn game. I didn't go to Auburn (how I ended up a fan is a long story!), and I'm in California, so it's a trip for sure. My husband and I are planning on going next year. YAY! And My husband would freak if he heard I was chatting with an FSU fan. HE's a Miami Hurricane fan. And he's current pouting after today's game. LOL. I, however am perfectly happy.

Oh, and I'm right with you about the Vandy game, and Spurrier, too, for that matter. Ugh.

I'm a New Yorker, now living in Georgia. If I didn't root for the Georgia Bulldogs I'd probably be sent back to New York in a body bag!
-Go Bulldogs!!!
And of course Wifey likes the Bulldogs because she thinks UGA( the team mascot) is "so cute"! In fact, we took a ride out to Warm Springs today and she bought an UGA Christmas ornament.

That is too funny vg! It sounds like you and jo and myself are all suffering from "displaced fan syndrome" have you seen that commercial? It's for the NFL but it's the same idea...I'll tell you where I live, but don't laugh. Two years ago I moved to Boise, Idaho. Yep, Boise. Can you beleive it? I never heard of Boise when I lived in Alabama!! Although I'm originally from Illinois. Everyone keeps wondering when I'm going to become a Broncos fan. I hate to say it, but I HATE the blue field!!! It is SO not right!

So, Florida beat Miami this weekend which was good for me because Miami is ACC. FSU won, of course they played W Carolina so they should've won!

What did you think of the Ohio State vs. Ohio game?

I just love football!

I wish Ohio St would've lost. I think I still hold some bitterness against them from my husband complaining about that call in the Championship game years ago. Yes, we hold football grudges forever in our household. That's why we aren't allowed to like anything in Florida other than Miami, and nothing in the SEC except Auburn. LOL.

We were, however thrilled with the CAL game. Woot.

Oh gosh, when you said Boise, I immeadiately thought of the blue field. So strange.

Hunting season??
" Imagine you're a deer. You're prancing along. You get thirsty. You spot a little brook. You put your little deer lips down to the cool, clear water - BAM. A f$%kin' bullet rips off part of your head. Your brains are lying on the ground in little bloody pieces. Now I ask ya, would you give a f&%k what kind of pants the son-of-a-***** who shot you was wearing? " AAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH funny stuff right there.

Not into the hunting thing. Am into destroying my front bush that has grown way to large.

I have three sons and husband, I hunt deer and I love it! Unfortunately I don't think I'll be recovered in time to go this year. I might be able to go, but I'll be stuck in the cabin instead of trapsing through the mountains.... :(

Actually, in keeping up with the New York dialect, she said...now I "aks ya'".
Great movie. It was actually flimed about 50 miles from my house in Monticello Georgia, although the director kept mispronouncing it as "Montesque" in the director commentaries on the DVD. I've been there a few times. There really is a Sack o Suds there on Rout16! Just for the hell of it, my wife went in to buy a can of tuna. But they were all out.

I miss the south....

I can't believe I said that! I can't help it though. I lived in Alabama 15 years and there's just something about it. It's almost like another country, they truly have their own culture. When you said, 'aks ya' was New York dialect, all I could think of was the many, many times I heard it in the south. It used to drive me nuts, but now it sort of makes me homesick.

Now, as for Football....I really wish Ohio State would've beat USC. I know they didn't deserve it the way they played, but I was sure hoping they would. I'm tired of hearing about USC.

Sorry folks...
