Hi everyone...
I am sorry to inform you that our dear friend Nat was admitted to the hospital on tuesday for a possible small bowel obstruction sad
He called me earlier this afternoon to let me know, and said that he had a ct scan this morning, but had not yet gotten the results. He seemed to be in good spirits(his usual goofy self, hehe) and said that he felt okay, but possibly from the pain meds.
He doesn't have his laptop with him, so I told him that I would do a post to let you guys know what was up.I know that he thinks the world of you and truly appreciates all the support and love here.
He also said to tell you guys that he will check in as soon as possible, and of course, I will keep you posted on any news that I hear.Hopefully he will be going home soon and be well enough to keep his original date for the big surgery in november.
I would also like to ask you all to please keep Nat in your thoughts and prayers. He is a super special friend to me and it breaks my heart to hear that he is going through this.I promise to keep you guys up to date.

Glad Bag,
I want you to know that I'm thinking about you and keeping you in my prayers. I'm waiting for you to get out of the hospital with a bunch of funny stories to make us laugh, like you usually do!!

Thanks for the update on Nat. Please tell him we're thinking about him and praying for him.

I had a small bowel obstruction back in March and had to have an NG tube in for a week, which was not fun, so my heart goes out to him. Mine was a full obstruction caused by scar tissue, so I ended up having surgery, which took 6 weeks to recover from. sad

I hope his is a partial blockage that opens up on its own, so he can get out of there soon. Please keep us posted on how he's doing, and let him know that life savers hard candy are allowed (and are a life saver), when you can't have anything to eat or drink for a week!

Dx'd Crohn's in '99 at 28. Proctocolectomy and ileostomy in '06.
Disease-free, medicine-free, and very thankful to be healthy again :)

Thanks for posting and letting us know about Nat. And please pass the word along that I am also thinking of him and wishing him the best. I, too, have been there. Fortunately, I have NOT had to have surgery for my obstructions as they were only partial, but still very, very painful. Tell him to keep his chin up and to remember all the funny stories so we can have a good laugh with him. Maybe you should ask him about these stories and take notes since he may not remember them while he is on the pain meds!!!!

Thanks again for your post,
