UGH! I am so frustrated. I have had diahrrea for the last two days, pretty bad stomach pain and bloating. Well, so today I called my dr.'s office to talk to her nurse (who is wonderful, sorry Lizzie!) and ask her if I can eat shrimp. (We're having shrimp at our party on SuperBowl Sunday) Anyway, so we were talking about
the shrimp and she said yes I could eat it. Then she started asking me how I was feeling and I mentioned my diahrrea, pain and bloating and she said it sounds like I have a blockage. She told me to put heat on my stomach because sometimes that will help loosen it up, then she said if I'm not better in 24 hours or if I'm worse I need to get in to be seen.
Crap! It hadn't even dawned on me that I might have a blockage. This would be my first. So now I'm shocked and I'm trying to figure out what I might have eaten to cause it. It just feels weird to find out I might be sitting here with a blockage and I didn't know it. That's sort of scary to me! We can get a blockage that easy? I know one thing I really have to work on is chewing my food better. I don't chew nearly as well as I should.
I thought if you got a blockage you got nauseated and a fever, etc.?
