Hi all!  I am from the Crohn's Disease message board.  My mom also had CD and will be having a bowel resection and a permanent colostomy in a couple weeks.  I have been though the bowel resection surgery myself, but the colostomy is new to my family.  Is there anything she needs to be "prepared" for and what sort of things can she expect from and after surgery?
THANKS!

That's a VERY broad question! But, for starters, she can expect to not be in pain anymore.

There are some really good recent posts...robinbyrd has some...check them out, they can probably answer some of the basic questions and you can go from there!
