This query is for my father who is around 61 year old.
He got his reversal done 6 months back.
So far he's been okay..he goes for motion twice a was around 5 times just few days after the surgery.
We started worrying when any so called common issues started surfacing.......
My query is about gas problems after reversal..althought he can release gas quite comfortably, and motions are quite okay.
But since he has lost a round 25kg during the surgery times..he sometimes got hangovers because of gas because of weakness..?
Is gas forming issues is common..
My father's diet is quite simples, light break fast, light lunch, and light dinner. In between he takes a drinks, fruits..that too very cautiously.
Doctor has asked to avoid constipation for the first 1 year after the surgery..
The second issue is loosening of skin around surgical area.
Is these issues are common...
please let me we're a bit worried..although we're soon going to visit our surgeon.

The gas could be from what he is eating. You mentioned he is eating "light", but the food he is eating could be a culprit. Also, if he isn't eating in between those times his stomach could be producing the gas, too. I have found that small snacks between meals really help.

Is the skin loosening (skin coming apart?) or sagging?
