So. I asked Dr. ****** if I could have a smaller stoma b/c my ostomy nurse said he tends to make them fairly large. He told me it had to be a certain size for the bag to stay on better. Well, now that I have my bag I don't see how the size of the stoma really makes any difference on the adhesive and longivity of the wafers.
My question to you is...what's the size of your stoma? Obviously mine is about the size of a rose bud, but shrinking by the day b/c it was super swollen this past week or so. I'm just curious b/c as I called around for my ostomy samples the companies asked if my stoma was flush to my stomach or if it protruded. I didn't realize they could be flush to the skin.
