I am beginning to feel a bit complusive about the bag. Everytime I empty, I feel an urgency to feel for and push out any hardened particles of food. This can take time. Am I going completely crazy?

OMG! When I read your heading I was sort of freaking out because I suffer from OCD. I had to read your post because I was intrigued.

Anyway, I know what you mean. When I had the bag I was the same way. You're not going crazy, I promise! You'll get used to it and then you won't even notice.

haha...I know what you are talking about...my "compulsion" went away, yours should too. I just empty and go...sometimes I don't get everything, but I know it will come out the next time:)

My friend's husband used to drive her CRAZY with his fascination of the contents!!!! Luckily for her, he was on his way to a j-pouch so it wasn't permanent:)

I have a compulsion to make the bag as clean as I can get it! So I rinse with warm water and wipe and wipe and wipe!
I the a.m I'll take the bag off and rinse it out in the sink to get it completely clean and I'll clean off my stoma and inside the wafer.

Otherwise, I feel icky.

I know what you mean about being clean, Chasblah. I totally cannot stand to keep the old bag on after a shower. So I use a new bag every morning. Is that expensive or what?
