So I see my stoma nurse and mention my loop ileostomy. Oh no I don't think you have a loop let me have a look. It's definately an end ileostomy. I thought end ileostomy's are permanent yet I'm waiting for my reversal any time soon. All the advice I've asked for here was for a loop. This explains why they want to
open me right back up again as opposed to just going through the stoma hole.
Does anyone know anything about end ileostomy's and reversals? or any knowledge on the difference or what to expect would be great Is this why they think I will be in hospital for 10 days? Does it really matter which it is?
