Hi everyone,
turned 32 on the 25/02/09, am feeling good.
when i look back and think how i used to suffer with ny illness before my surgery, i can't thank god enough and most of all you guys.
tanx again for ur support.
just getting ready to take kids town(never thought i'l say that with a smile on my face)
can't wait, any way see u guys

Diagnosed IBS 2000
Vaginal Prolapse Surgery 2001
3 Hernia Repairs, 2004
Repeat Vaginal Prolapse Surgery 2006 (the mesh from previous prolapse surgery had let go and fallen into my bowels)...
Removal of mesh from bowels (it was piercing holes all through my bowels and appendix and cecum, causing 2 fistulas and heavy bleeding vaginally and rectally)...mesh was removed, two pieces of large bowel removed and resectioned with a loop ileostomy. 2008
I have underlying connective tissue disorder (Ehlers Danloss Syndrome) which is the reason for the two failed surgeries)
 Reversal surgery scheduled for March 9/09

Happy belated birthday Sammie!!! I'll be 33 on march 24!! Isn't great how we live normal lives now...so happy for you

Isnt it amazing what little things to someone else, like takign your kids soemwhere, is such a big deal to us?

Happy Birthday, Samie! You probably feel younger now that you're healthy than you did when you were sick (I know I do!) :-)
Dx'd Crohn's in '99 at 28. Proctocolectomy and ileostomy in '06.
Disease-free, medicine-free, and very thankful to be healthy again.

Happy Belated Birthday Sammie,
I hope it was a good one with lots of partying. I just turned 30 back in November and I had my surgery done in august (3 months before) and I told myself, with my new body and new age, comes a brighter future. I hope you enjoyed your birthday and still enjoying it.
