Oh Cheryl I don't know what to tell you except I am so sorry! I once a had a tiny sore underneath mine and it was very painful, I can't imagine what that feels like, it must hurt so bad. As for the visual, it really took me back! I remember laying on the bed with nothing but a tissue over mine to catch stuff while my husband got my appliance ready for me. I never did do it myself. I couldn't imagine how! Well, I guess that's not true, I did eventually do it myself, but he always measured the stoma and cut the hole for me so it fit good and maybe that's why I never really had a problem.
Can you call your doctor today and ask what to do? Maybe even the ER can answer that question as to what to do if you call them. I really doubt they will delay your surgery though due to that. I don't think you need to worry about that. I can see why you would be panicked about that though. It'll be ok, I really feel they'll do it anyway. I've been praying for you and I've had nothing but good feelings about your surgery. Your Heavenly Father is watching over you and I have no doubts that things will go great!
