Hi. I had my ileostomy reversed 6 1/2 weeks ago and got a small bowel obstruction last wekend and ended back in the hosptial for 4 days. I am so tired of the hospital ( for over the oast 8 months). Doc says might be ow motility that casued a "sleeping"of the small intestine of food or scare tissue from all the surgeries. I am now on a low rsidue diet to help food digest better and keep me from getting blocked. I can go back to watch I want to eat in a couple of weeks. I think my guts are so scarred and ruined. Any thoughts or advises? I am using prune juice and milk of mag to help move things through. Not going so well.

when you can eat: cabbage is hard to digest, also raw veggies, I suggest that you CHEW the food very very well!
