Hi guys!  I just want to post the latest since my reversal.  Things seem to be working FINE!!  Yesterday and today I had normal bm!!!  I am so happy and feel so blessed!  It is so nice to be able to sleep through the night without having to worry about leaks and getting up to the bathroom to empty a pouch a couple of times each night.  I am eating pretty well whatever I want and feel really really GOOD!  I hope that this will be encouraging news for those who are facing reversal surgery in the future.  I had bought depends, bum cream and moist wipes, but haven't had to use them at all!!  God is so awesomely good!  I am still so grateful for having had the ileostomy for the time that I did.  It made me healthy again.  I have no regrets!  Just a heart full of thanks!  :-) .........Cheryl

Repeat Vaginal Prolapse Surgery 2006 (the mesh from previous prolapse surgery had let go and fallen into my bowels)...
Removal of mesh from bowels (it was piercing holes all through my bowels and appendix and cecum, causing 2 fistulas and heavy bleeding vaginally and rectally)...mesh was removed, two pieces of large bowel removed and resectioned with a loop ileostomy. 2008
I have underlying connective tissue disorder (Ehlers Danloss Syndrome) which is the reason for the two failed surgeries)

Yay Cheryl!
I'm glad you are doing so well and feeling great!
You've given me such hope for my reversal, which is scheduled for April 8th.  I feel more confident now that everything really can be okay after a reversal!
I'm so happy for you!
