Ok so if you ready my post earlier today on the other thread you will have read that my back is just killing me today. It actually has been for several days and I just thought I was overdoing it because I already have a bad back with two degenerative discs. So this morning I called to get a referral to the pain management group at my hospital. Well, a few minutes ago while I was taking a nap the phone rang and woke me up and it was them. They told me that I was a patient at their office before my surgery and they just needed to talk to the dr. to find out if I needed a 15 minute slot or a 45 minute slot and she would call me back tomorrow, but that I don't need another referral because I'm already a patient...
WELL!! STUPID ME!!! THEN I remembered that I DID see them in September a week before my surgery for my colectomy and they gave me an injection in my back that didn't help my pain at all. Then they told me to come see them after my surgery because they thought there was fluid leaking from one of my discs. What a moron I am!! How could I not have remembered that?
No wonder I am in so much pain!!!!!!
I have suffered so much memory loss since or because of my surgery I swear it is not even funny!! I see people and I can't recall their names, I don't remember events that took place before surgery or between all my surgeries, all sorts of stuff. I just saw pictures of me and my grandbabies yesterday that I don't even remember taking while I was between surgeries. Does anyone else have so much memory loss? I'm assuming it's due to all the anesthesia and the pain meds...Anyway, so now I'm going to wait for them to call me back tomorrow to see when my appointment is. The worst part is that if the doc says I need 45 minute appt.I can't get in until May!!!!
But if he says 15 minutes then I can get in almost immediately. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!
So, now I wait and see....
