Hello guys!  I haven't posted lately...nothing to report..lol.  All is working just fine, and if I didn't have the flu I would probably feel GREAT!!  This too shall pass, right?  I am still quite sore in the area where the stoma was, but I'm sure that will pass as well.  I ate my first apple last night...I peeled it first though just to be safe...  It was SO good!!  Other than that I seem to be tolerating all foods really well.  BM are moving along just fine, with no help from Metamucill or prune juice for a couple of days now....YAHOO!!  I'm still fighting a skin issue where the wafer used to be.  Very sore, itchy and red.  I had tried just about everything I could think of to clear it up but nothing was working.  Yesterday I applied some cortisone cream and covered it with plastic wrap in the morning after my shower and then in the evening after a shower as well.  It has cleared up ALOT! I did the same this morning... I hope it continues to clear up...I don't want to see any more doctors or nurses for a LONG LONG TIME...lol.....Have a super great day everyone!!~~~~Cheryl turn

I'm sorry to hear your skin is still so irritated, I really can't imagine why. I was lucky and didn't have any skin problems at all. The plastic wrap does not sound comfortable at all!! But if it works, the that's great. I also hate to hear you are still suffering from the flu, I know it is going around here really bad as well. I hope you get to feeling better my friend. I loved the pics you posted the other day on fb of your furbabies, they were adorable. Would you believe I went to sit with an older lady yesterday (who is housebound) and she has a canadian lynx in her home and three bobcats in her yard. It was crazy! The lynx is blind and just walks around her house but you can't touch him because then he thinks he's going to the vet, she's had him ten years! The bobcats let you pet them and feed them and I got to feed them treats, it was super crazy!! They were beautiful. Anyway, that was my weird thing for yesterday and why I didn't email you.

I really hope you get to feeling better sweetie. Take good care of yourself and make fun plans for the weekend if you're feeling better, k? Mabye I'll give you a call!!!

love ya!!

Cheryl,

It is so good to hear that you are doing pretty well, except for the flu. Each day will get better and better. Best of luck to you and keep posting your new "firsts"! Others that are in your shoes or about to be would be interested in knowing what you are experiencing.
