I was told my my hosp ostomy nurse that some medicines like controlled release (CR) or extended release (ER) might not be absorbed well.

I note that Lexapro comes in oral as well as tablet/capsule.

Does anyone take Lexapro and take in in oral form? If taking in tablet/capsule, is it absorbed/metabolized well?

I take Lexapro in the tablet form- 20 mg. and have not had any problems with it. It isn't time released, though.

I took it but ended up with massive diarrhea...I don't have a bag, but had a sub-total colectomy.
