With baseball season having just started, I've been looking forward to a hotdog and beer. Some of the info I have says no way and some says these are just gassy.

And strawberries, do these little seeds get stuck? I've been avoiding them-frozen and fresh. Same with kiwi.

What's your verdict on hotdogs, beer, strawberries, and kiwi?

I will have to say that I won't be a good person to tell ya about strawberries and beer cause I am one of the few people that don't like either one of them! But, I do avoid the seeds, like in red raspberry jam and pies. I bite or two won't make a difference, but a decent portion MAY. It depends on you.

As far as hotdogs, I eat them - with the high sodium, you will drink more fluids which is good.

Have fun experimenting (you may want to try them at home first to know just how your body will respond - remember, anything new... maybe don't eat on an empty stomach... eat it along with something else) and enjoy the baseball season --- no more pain at at the ball park!

I dont drink beer, but liquor doesnt cause me any trouble, just drink lots of water also, cause you will dehyrdate easier, which will mean worse hangovers!

Hotdogs-I just started eating them again, and they dont hurt me they just give me horrible gas, lol.

Strawberries-I eat them ALL the time! I worry about the little seeds too, sometimes, but not enough to keep me from eating them. I dont reccomend eating like a whole pound of them at one time, or going on a strawberry shortcake diet (trust me on these things, lol) because it will give you gas if you eat a whole bunch of them. This is gross, but the little seeds come out in your output and if its really watery, you can see the little seeds, and they are bad to get stuck at the tail of your bag! I worry that they will poke holes in the plastic, lol.

No idea about kiwi

I've never had a problem with any of the foods you listed.
Having a hot dog with beer shouldn't be a problem. Now if you have a couple of beers, you'll want to drink some water in between, so you don't get dehydrated.
I like to make strawberry milkshakes, but when I eat them whole, I'll take a sharp knife and peel off the outer layer where the seeds are. Make sure you chew fruit and veggies really well.
Kiwis are harder to de-seed, so I just peel off the furry outside and eat only one at a time.
Have fun at the baseball game! smilewinkgrin

Be careful with the hotdog sammies! I don't eat them..ever..but a year ago I was craving one. Well that hotdog started an obstruction for me and I ended up having my 5th resection. As for beer no problem just be ready to be gassy BUT I have to say Beano really works amazing. You can get it over the counter, just chew the tabs before your meals, not swollow whole. I eat strawberries by the box I love them and have never had a problem with seeds either. Good luck!

this is another subject where everyone is different....I do eat all of the above, just I eat them in moderation. I never eat them alone and I always chew hot dogs really well, because they do not digest well and they are the perfect size to cause a far as beer goes, I take a few gas-x and an imodium before I start.
