I just spoke with Cece on the phone this morning.  She is doing great -- on oral pain meds, changed both of her bags this morning by herself and eating solid foods.  The nurse mentioned that she might get to go home later this afternoon.  She had her 2 drains removed yesterday and was a little tender in the abd. from that.  Her heart rate is normal, thanks to sufficient hydration now.  She will be going home with a picc line so she can continue to receive hydration for a few weeks.  Her new ostomy is a jejunostomy - meaning that it is really high up in the small intestine and produces a lot of liquid output.  But she sounds wonderful.
Cece has been reading all of your comments here on this forum even tho she hasn't felt like posting quite yet.  Thank you all for the well wishes -- she certainly is appreciating them.
