I think it'd be a cool idea to post why we're thankful to have our moms or post something mother related =)
My mom is amazing! She has been right there through everything that Ive gone through and going through now. She never complains when I wake up at 3am and need help getting out of the hospital bed to potty even though shes really hating to get up at 3am lol Shes the strongest, most caring, most loving person in the world to me and I love her with all my heart! Im so thankful for her bc without her there would be no me =) My mommy is my hero
And props to the moms with sick children who are staying strong and having to watch their child/ren suffering with UC or crohns or whatever else awful disease :-) You are amazing!

Im thankful for my memories with my mother. I lost my mother May 2nd of last year and I miss her dearly. You dont know how much you need your momma until she isnt around for you. Im grateful that she didnt see me suffer through these past two surgeries yet she would have done anything to have helped me. I love you MOM

I too am thankful for the memories.  Bless my mom's heart... when I had my surgery back in 1984, she was such a trooper trying to help me.  But she had a very weak stomach and just couldn't help me with my appliance or look at the stoma.  She was extremely supportive and a wonderful caregiver.  I was so blessed.  She just had a weak stomach and one look at the stoma would make her gag!!  I'm glad I don't possess that trait!  Happy Mother's Day mom, I still love you with all my heart, and terribly miss you.

It was my mom who was with me every step of the way (along with my husband) from the Dx of UC to the doctor appointments, each failed medication attempt, the staph infections, hospitalizations, open wound care, pre and post surgery experiences, and the unconditional love and affection she provided for my son.  My mom has been the basis of my very being.  It is because of her that I am a strong woman.  It is because of her independence, passions, and love of life that has given me the courage and motivation to live each moment with all that I have.  She is truely the most amazing person in my life.
Not only was my mom a caretaker of me and my family, but all the while she has provided frequent, daily and weekly care of my five-year-old niece, bi-weekly care of my nephew, and daily care of my ailing grandma (who passed in April).  My mom is THE caretaker of our family.  It really is because of her that my siblings and I are who we are, and are as close as we are.  My mom has given us the world, and we cherish that.
Her name is Jerri.
