I have been like clockwork for a few weeks - every evening after dinner it would fill up. I'd usually change it in the morning, or in the evening if it was more than 1/2 full (I use disposable bags).
Well, I had what seemed to be a partial blockage on Sunday night. I filled 2 bags to the brim... I had steamed carrots on both Sat & Sun..and on Sun I didn't feel well in the evening and thought it was just gas.. after the pain built up..and then all of a sudden my bag filled rapidly...I replaced my entire 2 piece system and looked at my stoma..it was more flat and sort of inward...I thought maybe it was a bit swollen as the stool looked to be a bit chunky (and orange, hence why I think carrots). Well, that was Sunday around 9-10ish when that transpired.
I ate normally yesterday and took 2 doses of miralax for fear that the other carrots I ate would do the same thing. I got my fiber in (not all my water though, but I tried)..and now it's Tuesday at nearly lunchtime and no stool? I'm not in any pain. And, I still am passing gas... passed some this morning and throughout the day yesterday..
If you have a partial blockage..does it back you up and then empty you to a point that it takes a day or two to start back to regular movements or is there a possibility I'm still blocked? I would think I'd be in pain if I were blocked!
