What could cause butt pain if I've had a total colectomy?

So I had a total colectomy 7 years ago.  I'm having pretty significant pain in my gluteal muscles much the same feeling as when I had really bad fistulas and abscesses down there prior to the surgery.  I can't figure out what might be causing the pain if there is nothing left of my large bowel or anything below that?!  I posted this on the Crohn's site but didn't get many hits from there?  Hoping someone from here can help?!
Diagnosed w/Crohn's in 1998 (21 years old).  Remission initially, until 2001 when I became pregnant.  13 surgeries while pregnant.  Healthy son.   Since April 2001 have had 37 surgeries, mostly for Abscess/Fistulas. 3 muscle flap surgeries (both legs and the abdomin) Colon and Rectum removed when son was 8 weeks old.   Symptom AND med Free since final muscle flap surgery in 2004!!!

I had total colectomy including removal of rectal and anal apparati in 1983. I often get sensations -sometimes painful- from what I have come to call "phantom organ syndrome" just like phantom limb syndrome for most amputees. I believe the
"why" is that the nerve paths still exist
