Hi Rosebud,

To be honest with you I dont have an answer for you because I have only had an ileostomy since march this year but the way you described your output sounds the same as what mine is like quite often. I thought the watery yellow, frothy output was normal unless its accompanied with pain then I would worry. But if this is not the norm for you then I would be calling the doc to see what they say.  Although my output does also vary and have moments where it is quite thick so I guess it really depends on what you eat. You also said you are still having problems dealing with having an ileostomy, I am surprised to hear that so far into having one. I also suffer with depression and having problems getting my head around all my recent surgery and feel for you as I can relate to pretty much everything you are saying. I wish I had an easy answer for you but I dont. Im hoping someone else will be along soon to help you, but also wanted to welcome you to the site. You have come to the right place as there are many caring people here with the same probs we are dealing with. Hang in there

Yes I know where Labrador is, pretty area too! I am at Mooloolaba on the sunny coast. It is a small world. I am separated from my husband have been now for the past 6 years, will get around to a divorce sooner or later lol. I have 3 daughters 28, 25 and 21 and my eldest daughter has 2 adorable children a girl 3 and boy 2 so I am one very lucky grandma. I am 46 but feel like Im 86 lately lol. How about u? Married. kids etc? How long have u had crohns? I have crohns/colitis was diagnosed 21 years ago but they believe it was there long before that. Such a nasty disease, I only hope none of my girls or grandchildren get it. I was seeing a man for a couple of years before my surgery but after my ileostomy and proctocolectomy he decided to bail on me, guess he couldnt take it, but lately has started to come around to see me again but i am keeping my distance for now as I dont want to get hurt again. Take care its really nice talking to u, ohh and by the way when I had my surgery the nurse commented that I needed to name my stoma so funny thing I named it rose cause it looked like a rosebud. Is that where u got your name from? Talk soon Bye for now

:-)  hi andorable how's your recovery going?? good i hope. i've been to Mooloolaba a couple of times, it's a lovely place. I'm also divorced and i have a 22yr old daughter and i also have a 3yr old grandaughter, her name is Tahlia and i love her more than life!! i'm currently single by choice, reason being is that since i've had the ileostomy, which is 8yrs ago now i've tried to have relationship's but when it comes to being intimate i still cant go there!! i get lonely at times but would rather be single than have that constant worrie about the bag blowing up or leakage in the bed, ect. Oh and by the way yes i named my stoma ROSEBUD as it look's like a rosebud or petal. my Dad was the first person to give it a name after i came out of surgery and he called it SKIPPY as in skippy the kangaroo with a pouch!! also how come they left you for so many years with crohn's without doing anything up until a short time ago??? take care of YOU!! talk soon. rose-bud40........ turn

Hey Rosebud,
Sorry i havent got back to u sooner but my computer isnt working atm so im using my b/f laptop and having probs adjusting to it lol. hopefully mine will be fixed soon. The reason i didnt have the ileostomy done sooner was really my own fault as i wanted to try everything else first and some of the drugs did work but generally not for long. My recovery is going pretty well apart from the odd pains here and there. Plus learning all about the changes and having many breakdowns. I am on disability pension as well but work casually in childcare and love it. I have to run for now but will be back as soon as i can to see how u are going with everything. Hope u are well, talk soon. Take care

Hey Beverley,
So sorry to hear your not feeling the best. Whats wrong? Anything I can help with? Your right Im not the greatest either just been really down but just started seeing a pyschologist so hopefully in time I will be able to deal with everything a bit better. I am also still a bit sore but refuse to take any pain killers the docs want to give me the patches or oxycontin or endone but I find taking those my life becomes a blur and I hate not knowing whats going on around me they also make my skin itch bad so I settle for panadol which arent helping either. Oh well something will give one of these days lol. Its good to be able to come here and chat to people that know exactly what your going through. Shame you missed seeing your grandaughter but Im sure she will be around soon. I just saw mine today it was great as always :-) , they really are so precious. Take care of yourself first and foremost and get some rest. I hope you feel better real soon. Oh and btw did you happen to add me to msn messenger? I had 2 people wanting to add me but I had no idea who they were so I denied, so if it was you then let me know and add me again lol. Im off to work tonight, not that I feel like it at the moment but will do my best to hang in there. Talk to you soon
Doreen
