new to all this and things going OK - use a coloplast bag which fits well but when I sit at the desk and work on the PC I catch odor coming off - it is like the sitting posture causes some type of opening but I dont notice it at other times

Is it possible that what you are smelling is coming from the tail of your pouch?  Also, try using a deoderant or mouthwash to curb any smell.

You know when I 1st came home with mine I could smell it, no one else could smell me but it bothered me.  I bought some M9 that you put in your bag and it has taken care of the problem.  It is made by Hollister and doesn't have any smell to it but neutralizes your output.  I can even change in my bathroom w/out hubby spraying in the bedroom.  Cathy

Finally someone else who says they can smell it! I kept thinking that this was in my head b/c no one else could smell it. I used to put mouth wash in my bag and that helped. When you empty at work...empty as fast as you can and then flush. After your flush, clean the tail well add a bit of mouth wash and flush again. I used to carry the trial sz mouth wash. Also, you can carry small little bottles of body spay in your purse to help cover the odor.

Yes! I can smell myself and I have had mine for over two years, and using M9 drops!!! No one says anything but I wonder ... I do have to say that the longer it's on, maybe normal sweat and stuff gets into the plastic-like 'fabric' or something because it doesn't smell like poo ... to me it's just unpleasant. I change as soon as I notice it (even when it's stuck nicely) about every 4 days .... oh, and mouth wash made it just smell like mint gone wrong....

i notice it starts to release an odor after a shower. Like getting the bag wet messes up the filter.
So then i change the bag and it goes away.
my Hubby swears he can't smell it.
