This is his wife, Kathy.  I'm saddend to say that my husband.....my darling husband has passed away!  He took his life.  Please pray for him! He was the light of my life, and I'll miss him forever! Please pray for him! Please please please  pray for him!

im very sorry to hear of your loss, i will be thinking of you
UC for 8 years, before finally kicking its butt and having a permanent ileostomy April 17 2007!

dx proctitis in 1987
dx UC in 1991, was stable until 1998

1998 started prednisone, asacol, pentasa, nortriptylene, ativan, 6MP, rowasa enemas and suppositories, hydrocortisone enemas, tried the SCD diet, being a vegetarian, omega 3s, flax, pranic healing, yoga, acupuncture, probiotics

2000 lost all my B-12 stores and became anemic

2001 opted for j-pouch surgery- now living life med-free

Dear Kathy, Hope you find peace and comfort after time passes. Vette guy kept things interesting and he will be missed.
Those things we keep trying to do get easier not because the feat gets easier but our ability to "do" gets better.

Stomach problems finally figured out 2001 Crohn's/Colitus
Tried every drug without much success
Colon/rectal cancer removed Aug 2009
6 Grown kids, grandkids and a great husband to keep me busy

Im so very sorry Kathy. I felt I had a kindred spirit in Vette, his love of cars riveled my own. He will be sorely missed.

Kathy, Oh sweetie I am so saddend by that news, please know that all of us will be praying for you and your son.  Just know that we are all here with you as your family and we will support you in your time of need.  This news is just heart-breaking.  God Bless you my dear and you will be in my thoughts and prayers...

Kathy, This is so so sad. My prayers and warmest thoughts are with you and your family.
Diag proctitis 97 - major flare and extension to left sided colitis Aug 2006 - present.

I have bled every day since Aug 2006 (I quit smoking in June 2006).

Imuran (Azathioprine) game me liver damage. LDN no luck.  Asacol and mesalazine enemas - seemed to make worse. Lots of Prednisone :(  No luck on drugs!

JPouch, total colectomy and ileostomy (part 1) completed Jan 2010 :)

UC no more!!!

I am so heartsick it came to this. You and your family are in my prayers Kathy. Your husband will be sorely missed around here.
- Rectal CA 4/29/99, Stage I, 90% sigmoid/15" of colon/GB removed, temporary colostomy, reversed 6-26-99
- Chronic IBS/D symptoms, multiple bm's, on low residue diet
- Colace 50 mg each evening

i am just so sad and sorry to hear this.

28 yrs. old. married with one beautiful daughter (born 11/20/07)
-diagnosed with severe pancolitis u/c 2002 had total colectomy 12/19/08; emergency surgery due to abscess-had to redo ileostomy and switch to left side 12/25/08; 2/15/09 found blood clot in superior mesenteric vein (prob. from inf. and surgery inflammation)
i only take vitamins now, when I WANT to. :)
(temporary ileostomy....maybe)

Kathy,  Please remember that we are all here for you.  I know its not much comfort as this point but we will help in any way we can.   Just breaks my heart that your family is going through this, keeping you in my prayers..

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I'm so sorry for your loss. Mike was a great guy who helped so many people over the years, and he is missed.

Dx'd Crohn's in '99 at age 28. Proctocolectomy and permanent ileostomy in '06.
Disease-free and medicine-free since surgery and very thankful to be healthy again.

This wlil be my last post.  Mike was a creature of habit.  He belonged to a few forums,  and the password  appears to be the same as the alarm code to my house.
