Almost too embarrassed to post this....lol.  Reading about all the people who say sunflower seeds work for them, I decided to purchase a bag at Walgreen's.  Well, I never ate them in my life!  Must have had a pretty sheltered life you say huh?  Anyway, did I think to read where you are supposed to take them out of the shell??? NOOOOOOO.  I popped a few in my mouth and started to chew, thinking, this doesn't seem rightidea .  I probably only swallowed a bit of a shell before reading the back of the package where it says, split the seed with teeth and eat inside seed...well duh!!!  I spit the remaining shells out and then proceeded to eat a few the CORRECT way.
Well, it will either cure me or kill me!

Hi Christine1946,

GLAD you don't have an ileostomy and swallowed those shells! Yeah, when one is tired, it's tricky doing all this posting.

Good luck to you anyway. I hope "this (the shells) too shall pass." Rosemary

Sumerstorm,

Yeah, I thought for a minute (until I read the part where she has UC and I assume not an ostomy) that she would be in HUGE trouble! Glad she only posted on wrong forum and that she will be well. Rosemary
