Whether it's your wife or husband, sister father mother or best friend.  Give them a hug today. ....a giant bear hug today.  I know you've alll  been through a lot.  But, chances are your loved ones were with you very step of the way! As many of you know my husband passed away recently. We were married almost 25 years.  But in all that time there wasn't a day.....,.NOT ONE SINGLE DAY.....that he didn't take me in his arms and tell me that he loved me.
My son, Michael, and I have been having a difficult time .  But there's one thing that's comforting to me.  When I try to sleep and rest my head on the pillow....I know my sweet sweet sweet man loved me. He told me that all the time.

Hi Kathy, I am glad that you have such good memories of your husband and I hope that you and your son can get thru your grief and move on with your life. I know you must miss Mike very much and once again, I am very sorry for your loss. I wrote to you about a week ago and asked you a very sensitive question and you graciously answered it. I wanted to know if you felt that your husband took his life because he couldn't deal with living with an Ostomy. You assured me this wasn't the case. Of course I was relieved to hear that because I may have to have Ostomy surgery soon. Thank you for answering my inquiry; it helped! If you ever need someone to talk to you can email me at

Kathy, I check in every other day or so but rarely post anymore. You can see by my signature that my kids are doing well.
I'm so sorry to hear about your husband's death. He was very special on this forum and helped alot of people.
My husband died unexpectedly last July from a heart attack. Like you, we were married almost 25 years. Like you, he always told me and the kids how much he loved us. It's that love that keeps me going every day. No matter how hard it gets or how down I feel, I am grateful for having him in my life for the time I did. It wasn't enough and it wasn't what we planned, but I'm lucky we found each other.

So for your husband and mine, I'll make my hugs extra strong. Please accept my cyberhug to you!
If you need to talk, follow the email link on my profile.
