I don't think so...:( after the healing is done I don't think any of those creams will work.

Mine is wider in some spots, crooked in others and so many other things!!! I've had too many surgeries through it that it is really long now:( at least the part that shows above my pant line actually looks like a 'normal' scar, LOL!!

no its not the scar, i didnt say that right,i made it sound like the scar itself was a different shape. I don't like it, but its not that big of a deal.
my stomach on the left side of my scar is bigger. ;ike on the right side its toned up more than on the left side.

Hernia like? Just throwing that out because I developed a pretty big ugly one after my reversal. Removed now.

The left side of my stomach has a lot more fat than my right side where my stoma was and when I had my ileo I was lopsided as I gained weight but the ileo made it look even. Even without my ileo if I look down I can see it and if I wear a tight shirt everyone can see my lopsided tummy if they pay attention. I'm ok with it because I know where it came from and I haven't started trying to workout yet. :-) I did notice that the fat roll decreases consistently as I gain and lose weight. I think that over time it will get better because I used to have a huge pooch over my hand assist scar and that's getting more even as time goes on. Since you have a perm ileo maybe it has to do with how your intestines are placed for the stoma location and it's not more fat, but more intestines underneath pushing everything out. Just a thought. Hopefully someone else w/ a perm or long term ileo can give feedback for what happens to them.

Kudos to you for working out!! What motivated you? I started a Zumba class one day a week and it's painful because I'm so out of shape but it feels good. DH has a class reunion is this summer so I think there's some major working out and eating healthy in our near future. I'm not looking forward to it...and yet I am but I generally lack motivation to workout.

MIne is like that, too. I have lost over 70 pounds since the surgery and now have hanging flabby stomach skin. It is beyond being able to be toned up. I would need plastic surgery. My middle scar divides my stomach in half...one side is bigger. It looks like an uneven butt or something.

My husband looked at it today, and by tightening the muscles, we can tell that there is more muscle on the right side, or that its stronger, and the goes to the right of my belly button so i think it has something to do with how the muscles healed. I hope as i keep getting them stronger it wont be as bad. Its not really noticeable, unless you know to look, but since i know to look its botthering me!

Ducidr-I just tired of being fat! We went to the beach and my husband took a pic of me and my son and it was my back in the picture, and i looked SOOOO big!!! it was awful! So i got home, and got on the scale and i almost threw up, lol. It took me a while and i was doing some workout and cutting back on calories, but two weeks ago i started doing insanity workout everday, cut out soda, cut way down on calories and doing weights and situps and such, and its working great!
I wanted to do the zumba but i cant find it cheap anywhere. I only have one insanity disc, because the whoel thing is too expensive so i bought one of them on ebay, lol. The workout is the hardest thing i have ever done, the first few days, i literally couldnt jump on the exericises, my legs just wouldnt do it, and its hard to start the dvd but once i do it love it!

I'm gonna tell just how vain i am by the statement, so if anyone is reading this thinking about surgery and wondering how it will affect your appearance, just think of this.
The way i get through it, whens its really hard, is by chanting, pretty people pretty people, i want to be one of the pretty people again
how afwul is that, lol. But it gets my trhough!

That is exactly how my scar looks ...down below my belly button it looks like and different sizeed sagging butt...because before they did the surgery I had lost 115 lbs and skin was already hanging, so now I look terrible but dont care feel great.  I also have a little twisted piece of skin right by my scar that kind of looks like a nipple, never did ask him why that looks like that.  Does anyone have anything similar to that?

So glad you started this thread summer!! I have noticed lately that the right side of my tummy (Oscar is on the left) is bigger and my tummy dips in to where Oscar is. So weird! I just ordered Insanity...so I'll coment on it in a few weeks and let everyone know how it's going! LOL.
