I've been updating over on the UC forum, but not everyone from here reads there, so I'll cross post here


It IS Crohns. Actually the pathologist said it was Ulcerative Colitis, but that's impossible since the biopsies were done on my small intestine and I have no colon, but based on length of the scope into the body, he must have thought he was seeing a colon biopsy or the nurses mislabeled it as colon. Anyway, it's Crohns and the nurse practitioner said based on the looks of it, it is not a new, one month development, so I was never scoped far enough before and it was missed.
They're putting me on a high dose IV steroid while I'm here and then I will need to get onto a maintenance drug. I will be going back to my GI for this but it will probably be Humira

6/9/10 Scope and Biopsy--Diagnosed with Crohns Disease
Lomotil 2 Tsp. (4/day), Flaygl 500 mg (2/day), TPN 14 hrs/day, IV fluids 4 hrs/day, Prednisone 5 mg (1/day), Florinef .05mg (1/day), Culturelle (1/day), Entocort 3 mg (3/day)
