Ok so I feel that my intestines are irritated and inflammed.  Any ideas on how to soothe them?  herbal teas or something.  Last night I slept with a heating pad on me and today i've been doing soft food.  I dont' want to end up in the hospital.  I have little pain/discomfort when pressing on my abdomen and it's scaring me.  Any suggestions?

I know how you feel just got home from the Urgent Care and they are doing a bunch of test on me to make sure I don't have some kind of infection/ plus doing all kinds of cultures for bacteria and stuff..  have to take my poop into them in the morning and it takes a good 4 days for the cultures to grow.  So I will already have left for my vacation before I get the results..but if something is wrong they can treat me in California...  Plus I have TMJ in my jaw, so cant open my mouth hardly at all ,,,I am surprised at how painfull it actually is everytime you move your jaw...  so they are giving me Flexerill for that, so I am hoping that nothing comes of the cultures and that it was just a long flu...

I keep pepperment tea on hand so sooth my guts...might hlep you...anything is worth a try and this on is inexpensive...feel better...

I drink hot tea. For me I can't stand camomile - I opt for oolong, mint, or lemon.

I go for comfort foods that I enjoy such as pasta, Happy Meals (!), and peanut butter crackers.
