So all my complaining and the feeling of being swollen was real.  I came in to the ER early morning yesterday and after a CTScan it showed I have two partial blockages.  I have no infections anywhere so that's good.  They just have me on antibiotics and fluids.  Took me off of food completely to wait and see if it'll pass on it own.  Hopefully it will because I'm so scared they'll end up opening me up.  Please tell me your experiences with blockage.  How many days did you all stay in the hospital and what did they do?  Anything I can do to speed up the process?  Massaging my abdomen maybe?  Any input is greatly appreciated as soon as possible.

Thank u so much

A lot of people on here are partial to grape juice, warm baths, massaging, curling knees to chest. I have actually passed a partial blockage (very minor) by massaging and laying on my side. Hope you feel better soon. Do you remember what you ate that could have possibly caused this?

I had to go in the hospital for 5 days. They gave me an NG tube which I kept for 3 days and that apparently helped whatever blocking me up pass.

Rita,

Nothing by mouth, IV, and possibly ng tube if you need it.

BUT is the blockage from a reappearance of Chrones, a food blockage, or an adhesion blockage?

The cause needs to be determined so that appropriate treatment can be given.

Good luck, keep us posted, Rosemary

My experience is walking...walking and walking helps just like right after surgery! An NG tube if nothing is moving and you are vomiting:(

I cannot remember, did the pain start before the oatmeal and blueberries, or after? Did they pass?

Don't worry about how long others have taken to pass a blockage...we are all so different...focus on yourself and doing what is right for YOU. If it takes 2 days or 12 the goal is to get through it and hopefully without surgery. Stay positive and focused on you:)

Sending healing vibes your way!!!!!
