I was downtown, and I was supposed to go to The Field Museum. As I was walking down Michigan Avenue, stool starts to fall out of my shorts - and it is A LOT. OMG. Thank goodness I was by a water fountain where there was one man who was probably homeless. Thank goodness it happened to me here and not in school. I would have been in some real, real trouble. My mom picked me up. Thank you, mom.
UC/Crohn's
Humira

CD/UC story: I took Cipro. Then, I had diarrhea. It felt like my whole colon was burned. It eventually got extremely painful to even have a bowel movement when only one drop of blood was passed. I was diagnosed with c diff. Took Vancomycin and the blood stopped. Diarrhea persisted. Colonoscopy was done and CD/UC was found. Cipro, I hate you and the doctor who put me on it.

That's kinda one of my fears as well. I tuck the bottom part in my pants and am afraid the opening will come loose.
I was actually downtown yesterday too. I walked all the way from union station to oak street beach for the air show.

Wow, you handled that really well! Does your pouch have a clip closure? The pouches they gave me in the hospital had clips, and they were always falling off. As soon as I got home, I switched to a pouch with a velcro closure, and in the 4 years I've used them, they've never failed me once. Just an FYI in case you ever want to switch to a different type of pouch. :-)
Dx'd Crohn's in '99 at age 28. Proctocolectomy and permanent ileostomy in '06.
Disease-free and medicine-free since surgery and very thankful to be healthy again.

The clips fell off? I have been wearing Convaec with a clip since day one. I have never had a clip fall off. Maybe I should shut up....... If one falls off now,it's your fault!!
