I had to cut the seal so I could fit it around the flange.   And - for the record - I am the biggest dork ever.  As I am typing this, I just realized that the white paper part of the sure seal peels off.  I kept it on... without realizing it peels off!!! Oh well, now that I figured that out, it seems way more "normal".  I did have to cut down the paper tape on my actual flange so the sure seal covers the whole thing. Is that the norm as well?

Thanks again to everyone's advice.  I actually had to change it today because I was playing basketball outside and the sweat caused the whole thing to come nearly completely off!  So hopefully this works so the next time I decide to play basketball or go running, I don't have to worry about it.

I'll keep you all posted - and again- Thanks a ton for all the advice!

if the sure seal doesnt cover the whole thing, you can order the larger size, thats what i ended up doing.

I still trim edges...lots of bumps and divots from surgery!! You could almost cut all the paper off and it will still hold:)

Did you get directions with your sure seals? Go to www.alpglobal.com they have step by step directions with pictures!

You will wonder what you ever did before you started using them!!!:)

LOL I did the same thing when I first used the sure seal. I use the medium size which are the bigger ones. I'm going to start cutting them in half and applying cause I want the seal to cover up under the floating flange thing.
