Well, I am still suffering with anal pressure and pain  and discharge from the vagina.  I still think this sounds like an anal fistula.  Will they be able to detect a fissure from a CT scan of the pelvis and abdomen?  This is sooo annoying.  Now I have to take hydrocodone because of the discomfort.

I phoned my surgeon's assistant late in the afternoon yesterday.  He said he wouldn't find out the results until today.  He usually calls at the end of the day.  If I don't hear from him today, I will phone again tomorrow morning. I feel that if it were anything very serious, the lab would notify the surgeon immediately, wouldn't you?  I am still in discomfort but notice when I pass the yellowish discharge, some of the discomfort lessens.  Hopefully, it is what the surgeon thought....a build up of either blood or mucus around the anus or vagina.  If this is the case, they will have to insert a needle to withdraw it.
