A friend of mine is in the hospital, they have her on Iv fluids and a morphine drip and have started steriods.  They have no idea what this is, they thought it might be Bechets Syndrome but its a genetic disorder and no one in her family has had this.  So I am begging for help for her if you have herd of anything like this, or have an idea of where I can go to get answers please let me know. she is getting worse by the day..so ok here is what we know so far...

Ok, this started two weeks ago, with blisters on her outside of mouth. Then it proceeded into her mouth, making her tongue, cheeks,, and gums RAW. She cannot eat or drink anything, and hasn't for days. They have her on IV and morphine drip for the pain. I guess the blisters also went to her elbows, and knees, starting to appear on her palms and bottoms of feet.  What they thought is was is a middle eastern disease, so they have pretty much ruled it out.

So any suggestion or knowledge of this kind of thing will be helpful, even if a thought comes in your head and you dismiss it let me know and I will research it.

Thanks to all you great people

Leslie

oh i saw something like this on an episode of mystery diagnosis! I don't remember what it was called though. Maybe someone could look up the diseases they have covered on the show and see if the blisters match? I'm sorry thats not much help.

This sounds weird, but have her B12 and MMA (methylmalonic acid) blood levels checked. Severe B12 deficiency can affect the tongue, mouth, etc with blisters. The rest sounds like it could not be this, but have it checked they are only 2 regular blood tests. Rosemary
