So this has probably been asked before but I'm getting a lot of red bumps under the sticky part of the wafer. I've tried both Hollister and Coloplast and have the same problem with both.
I'm using Sure Seals as well to make sure the wafer stays on!
Any ideas on what it could be and what's causing the irritation?
I do have hair on my belly and use a trimmer to trim the hair ... could it be folliculitis or maybe some other irritation?

Thanks!! :)

i sometimes have red bumps, but they dont seem to bother anything so i dont worry with them. I dont know what they are though.

If they're moist, it's probably a yeast infection. Whenever I get a yeast infection under my bag/wafer I just get a Diflucan One tablet from the Pharmacy and it's gone within a couple of days.
Ileostomy for 34 years due to UC. I had my surgery at 10 years of age.

My surgeon prescribed Nystop.  You just sprinkle it on right before applying your wafer.  It works great!!!

My ET nurse recommened using Tincture of Benzoin. She said they've been having good success with that recently ... anyone used this?
