I had one but i waited 3 months between surgery's. ehh.. kinda felt the same as the 1st one except you start having to use both the bag and the rear exit lol.
i had UC but i was told the same that there could be some of the disease left but the chances are slim.
One thing that is a factor is DO YOU WANT AN EPIDURAL? now i ask that because it adds a day or two to ur stay. i chose not to get it because when you wake up they really want to get you to move asap because it starts the healing process, but if you get it since it takes away pain through ur lower back and down you cant really walk and they wouldnt let you get up until it comes out.
I got out in 3 days. but once i got out i noticed my heart rate is about doubled when i walk. so if the same happens i would make sure to tell them.
oh.. a good tip another patient i met told me, was buy like the best comfy pillow you can find. it comes in handy for any tummy surgery. use it when you cough.
ask any questions if you want.
Diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis a little over three years ago. I no longer have UC. I had surgery may 25.
