Most mornings when I awaken, I have a very rapid heartbeat.  I immediately go into the kitchen and drink a huge glass of water.  I suppose this must be a sign of dehydration.  I drink a glass about 4am and go back to sleep but then I sleep soundly until about 8 or 9 am...that is when I have the fast heartrate.  Any suggestions?

You might want to drink an electrolyte beverage before bed. Sometimes mere water isn't enough; especially if you aren't consuming more salt. I like Vitalyte because it's low in sugar and has light flavor. You can read about it at www.vitalyte.com You can also try Smar***er. Smar***er is more expensive than Vitalyte but it's available every where which makes it convenient.

OK...thanks sue.  Gatorade made me sick so I never drank it again.
