So I officially start at my new job next Monday. They have open enrollment coming up in November and I'm thinking about switching.
When I switch though, will my ostomy be considered preexisting?

It sounds as if your new insurance is part of a group insurance plan. For group insurance you don't need to supply any health information and pre-existing conditions don't apply.

I just got new insurance with my new job and it was not an issue. They didn't even ask.

Even with employer group insurance it is important, especially when we have pre-existing conditions, that your coverage doesn't lapse. When one insurance ends you should get a 'cancellation certificate' (or similar name) that will show the begin/end date...those forms should be kept to show you've always had coverage!
