I have a blister above my stoma where the wax and the tape meet on my wafer. I have had it for a few weeks. It is ***** and bloody but I don't know what to do about it since it is under the wafer. It is no where near my stoma so it is not cause from leakage. Do any of you have any suggestion for how I can heal it since it stays covered all the time?

If you have any cut to size wafer you can off set the hole so that it is lower on your stomach and then you can cut the paper/tape off the area where you have the irritation so the area is exposed and can heal. I hope that make sense!

Calmoseptine lotion would help it heal, too, you just have to ask your pharmacist to order it if it isn't stocked on the shelf.

I would also talk to your WOC Nurse just to be safe!
