Thank you so much.  I just posted on the UC site how scared and sad I am.  I have been crying all day (we just got back from taking my son's gf to the airport, so that didn't help).  Your encouragement helps so much.  My family doesn't know what I am going through (they really try, though).  It is nice that someone who has gone through this before is so supportive and has such a good attitude.  I saw your post and it's the first time I have smiled today (although now that I am so touched I am crying again...yep, I'm a mess).

I will let you know how I am doing.

Oh, one question....is it true we can't use our cell phones and/or laptops/itouches in our room?  Yikes, I may go crazy.

Thanks again!!!

Oh no! I had a cell phone and laptop in my room the entire time I was there. All of my roomates always had cellphones, too. Bring a pillow from home. Hang in there. It's only natural to get emotional because surgery like this is a big deal but you really will feel so much better after all of this is through. Are you having it done laproscopically? Mine wasn't, but I felt so much better after I had my staples removed. You will love the nurses and techs at CC. Kind of miss those kids - but not enough to go back :-)

Thanks!  She wants to do it laproscopically, but if there are ANY issues at all she will do open.  I trust her.

Thank goodness about the laptops/cell phones.  My daughter will be happy, too.  We can watch some Nexflix movies together if I feel up to it.

Thanks so much and I'll keep you updated.

Thanks for the kind comments Summerstorm...over at the UC site especially!  When do I take the Gas-X?  It's 2:46 AM and I'm already hungry (totally psychological because I can often not eat until noon).

I heard they are clear, gross!  Do they cover it or does it just hang there all green and gross looking?  So will everyone smell that swamp smell?

Disneynut66~bring a can of room deodorizer if you are worried...but you won't stink anyone out!!

You should only have the clear pouch for a few days. Before you go home they will set you up with a system that should work for you and it shouldn't have a clear pouch. If it is clear ask them change it to an opaque one.

Try not to worry too much. It will be Monday morning before you know it!
