what do you think is the smelliest, most disgusting thing to empty?

personally i think that ham and blue food coloring are the nastiest smelling, KFC smells really bad too, but not that bad.
And mush is the most disgusting, it smells bad and it looks gross coming out! the little hard pieces come out whole, doesnt keep me from eating it though!

Pretzels, yeast rolls, and doughnuts smell absolutely horrible coming out....so bad that my husband told me to quit buying pretzels. LOL HAHAHA

Hamburger, relish, and eggs look disgusting coming out. YUCK

Thank GOD for M9 drops and opaque bags is all I got to say.
Diagnosed w/colonic inertia, obstructive defecation syndrome, anismus, rectocele, and intussusecption
2005-hysterectomy w/pelvic prolapse repairs
2006-sacralcolopopexy
2010-subtotal colectomy, rectopexy, and temporary diverting loop ileostomy. Parastomal hernia discovered in November, so more surgery, probably end ileostomy with relocation of stoma.

I was mortified with the clear bags but no one told me about opaque ones until a rep at Convatec happened to send me some on accident. BEST ACCIDENT EVER! I couldn't get intimate with my partner or anything with the clear bags. I refuse to use them because they are just bad on the psyche.

Hamburger and any type of fish are the worse for me. I am stuck using clear bags for a while. My incision popped open after surgery and though it was restitched, it is still open in a few spots 8 weeks later. My nurse wanted me to stick with a one-piece until the wound heals. The samples the nurse at the hospital (Coloplast Assura extended wear one-piece) were working so well and not leaking, so I decided to stick with them for a while. The only way I can get them centered over my stoma correctly is if they are clear so I can see through the front. The opaque one-pieces are just too hard for me to position. I can't wait until I am all healed up and can try some two-piece pouches! Then I can use the opaque ones. I had to sew some pouch covers because I am so tired of looking at my poo through the clear pouches.

I rinse each time I empty and put in a "few drops" of M-9.  Nothing smells.

well my kid loves blue, so we made some candy last year, and we used LOTS of blue food coloring, i mean lots, and i ate a good bit of the candy, and my output was this god awful greenish color and stunk so bad! well i didnt really attribute the smell, just the color. a few months later we made a cake, again with blue food coloring only in the icing this time. Again the color and hte smell. Later a cake with the cake itself blue but the icing white, and again the smell. So that was all that was in common.

My mom and I went to New Orleans for Christmas and everything I ate came out smelling bad.  I had red beans and rice, jambalya, etc.  Definitly a strong seafood smell.

Even though I have an ileostomy, I'm using a two-piece opaque closed bag from Hollister.  So far my insurance has covered everything, but even if I have to start paying more for then closed bags (cause you have to use more), I will.  The drainable bags were driving me crazy.  I couldn't get them clean no matter how hard I tried and as soon as I did, there was more stuff in them.  I'm a little bit OCD.  Even when I change the bag I can't help but make sure I get all the goo off every where, even the undereath part of the inside of the ring.  My home health nurse suggested them.  I use them until it's time to change them and then I just throw the whole bag away.

Yeah... I have issues. eyes

I've posted this before but I will do it again.  To make the bag contents smell minty fresh try eating life savers wintergreen mints tongue .  They sure work for me!
