I've been in the crohn's group for a little while.  If anyone wants to know my history, I guess you can check there.  I've had a permanent ileostomy for 41 years.  I have been wondering if anyone may be having a similar problem that I've been having with my stoma.  All over it small bumps have been growing on it.  In addition to these, along the base of the stoma, a very painful, red and bloody raw area has appeared.  Has anyone experienced anything like these?  Thanks for your help, Gary

Sorry I don't have any insight...what does your doctor think? Could it be active Crohn's?

you must let a stoma nurse see this. any change of colour/looks of the stoma should be checked by your stoma nurse. what you're describing sounds pretty nasty to me.
